French religious recluse Lucile Randon, who held the record for being the most established individual ever, died on Tuesday at 118 in Toulon, France.
Randon’s representative, David Tavella, said she died at 2 am on Tuesday. “There is incredible bitterness, yet she maintained that it should work out; she wanted to join her darling brother. As far as she might be concerned, it is opportunity,” Tavella said.

In a tweet declaring her passing, Toulon City hall leader Hubert Falco expressed, “it is with enormous trouble and feeling that I advanced this evening of the death of the world’s most established individual #SisterAndré.” Before the death of Japan’s Kane Tanaka at 119 years old last year, the sister was recognized as the most established European.
